Carillon lock

During a site visit for a quote, M2i noticed deficiencies in the existing lifting equipment that could compromise the safe operation of the lock gate. At the request of Parks Canada, an emergency intervention was carried out a few days later to remedy the situation.

• Visual inspection of the gate lifting system
• Dismantling of the defective parts
• Factory correction of the defective parts
• Magnetic particle and ultrasonic analysis of certain parts
• Reinstallation of the parts, alignment and testing of the lifting system
• Correction of a design flaw
• Lock gate put back into safe operation
• Provide a technical report of the intervention
